WebNaBH4 (47 eq.) was added in 6 portions at 55 C over 80 minutes. The reaction was cooled to 0 C and quenched with 1N HC1 (30 v). After stirring 5 minutes, the mixture was diluted with brine (30 v) and extracted with DCM (50 v x 2). The organic layer was dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated.
